Why does M2MSys® uses Best-of-Breed-COTS Solutions? |
|
Commercial off-the-shelf (or COTS) refers to systems which are manufactured commercially, and have a high context integration spectrum which is performed by an integration specialist. These systems are in opposition to customized solutions or "one-offs". Why Best-of-Breed?At M2MSys we judge a system by a wide range of parameters. They include among others, architecture, technology, "total-cost-of-ownership" (TCO), availability of expertise, vendor, context applicability, etc. We believe that the best base applications will lead to the best integration patterns, in the same fashion that the best produce will generate the best meal. By leveraging the power of the best features of the best systems, M2MSys brings to light UNIQUE-KEY-DIFFERENTIATORS to its customer that will allow them to do more with less, thus increasing their competitive advantage. Why Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS)?At M2MSys we believe that there are huge benefits in a context of multiple organizations sharing a common platform that is supported by a customer centric software vendor. To continuingly increase its sales, the software vendor incorporates the new features, the cumulatively, significantly increase the functionality and quality of the end product. Since the cost of these new developments is shared by a large pool of customer organizations, the "total-cost-of-ownership" (TCO) is significantly lower. What are the COTS we mostly use?M2MSys utilizes a broad range of COTS solutions from multiple vendors. They include: - BPM Engines
- Content Management Systems
- Business Rule Engine
- Universal Data Transformation Engines
