BPMN 1.1 - The de facto process modeling standard |
Objective To make give you the foundations to model your organizations' business processes. Why do you need it?The majority of BPM platforms including Intalio, Lombardi, Savvion, Oracle, SoftwareAG/webmethods, Adobe, Vitria, SAP, Tibco, and Sungard are BPMN-based. This clearly demonstrates that BPMN is today, the standard for business process modeling. Modeling a process is like writing a well thought out letter. We often use the famous quote attributed to Pascal, Twain and Voltaire "I didn't have time to write a short letter, so I've written a long one instead." Efficient and effective modeling is about mastering all the BPMN symbols, especially if you are using for developing solutions. The more efficient your model is, the more efficient your code will be.
