What is the reasoning behind the name M2MSys®? |
|
M2MSys® is the juxtaposition of the acronyms M2M, which stands for machine-to-machine communications and SYS which stands for Systemics. It reflects our vision of two main forces that are, and will continue to gain, tremendous traction in our society over the next 5-10 years: - Ubiquitous Connected Machines and Appliances- as more and more machines and appliances are manufactured with micro-processors and able to connect to the network, it becomes possible to have machines communicate among each other, bypassing, in certain circumstances, any human intervention.
- Systemics - Holistic Movement and Complexity - early in our learning path we are told to break apart problems with the intent of making them more manageable. According to David Bohm, trying to understand the whole based on the part, corresponds to trying to look for an ideal reflection's in a mirror broken in small pieces. In the last 50 years a significant amount has been put in place to better deal with complexity, specially dynamic complexity.
Our vision is to combine both tendencies in such way that organizations of ALL types become more efficient and adaptable pursuing management goals and objectives.
